Book twelve in the Lost Shifter series

Exiled from his childhood pack and hated by his family, Wolf shifter, Ranger vowed that he'd always protect others from sharing his same heartbreak. He fulfilled his promise, first by taking in stray shifters and then later on becoming a soldier for a feline coalition. So when he finds a strange Eagle shifter stalking one of his friends, it's only natural that Ranger becomes protective. Especially when said Eagle is in the company of two Ravens--the most evil of all shifters.

Eagle shifter, Xavier lost everything dear to him when tragedy struck his family years ago. Taken in and raised in extreme seclusion by a family of Ravens, he's always felt as if a piece of himself was missing. When he finds that his twin is alive and living with feline shifters, Xavier can't resist his curiosity.

Fighting their mutual distrust, Xavier and Ranger also find themselves becoming drawn to each other. In a world that's not always so black and white, can they get beyond prejudices and the taboo, or will their love be lost to hate?

In business and relationships, Alexander Quick is practical and rational. Too many things could go haywire with a volatile man like Hunter, and Alex doesn’t enter into relationships where he cannot predict the outcome.

Then Alex learns his mentor is ill. The news sends him reeling. Alex suddenly sees his life isn’t as perfect as he thought. An ache for something meaningful stirs in Alex, and Hunter’s broken soul draws him in like a beacon on the blackest night.

Two men, one running like hell from love and the other opening himself to the emotion for the first time, collide. Hunter and Alex begin a darkly sexual relationship bound to explode. In the aftermath, can Alex make Hunter believe their love is powerful enough to heal his scars?

The bigger they come, the harder they fall... in love.

Cambridge art professor Larry Morton takes one, alcohol-glazed look at the huge, tattooed man looming in a dark alley, and assumes he’s done for. Moments later he finds himself disarmed—literally and figuratively. And, the next morning, he can’t rest until he offers an apology to the man who turned out to be more gentle than giant.

Larry's intrigued to find there's more to Al Fletcher than meets the eye; he possesses a natural artistic talent that shines through untutored technique. Unfortunately, no one else seems to see the sensitive soul beneath Al’s imposing, scarred, undeniably sexy exterior. Least of all Larry's class-conscious family, who would like nothing better than to split up this mismatched pair.

Is it physical? Oh, yes, it’s deliciously physical, and so much more—which makes Larry’s next task so daunting. Not just convincing his colleagues, friends and family that their relationship is more than skin deep. It’s convincing Al.

Sheriff Joel Harper is being sued, but when he meets young attorney Jason Sherwood, he wants him to handle much more than just the lawsuit!

When Sheriff Joel Harper, ex-wrangler, is falsely accused of assault and battery by a rich rancher’s son, he turns to Royce Chandler and Charles Fletcher for legal advice. What Joel doesn’t expect is to fall immediately in lust with young attorney Jason Sherwood, Royce’s new recruit to his recently opened law office.

Their budding romance is hampered by burglary, hate-filled graffiti, hostile neighbours and co-workers, and by Joel’s own sense of responsibility to his younger brother, Toby. Can their love survive all that’s thrown at them or will Jason decide the ride is just way to rough for him to endure?

Reader Advisory: This story has been previously released as part of the Saddle Up N' Ride anthology by Total-E-Bound. It is also connected by characters and setting to Ride 'Em Cowboy and Ride 'Em Again Cowboy but not part of a series. It can be read as a standalone.

I've read one (Ride 'Em Hard Cowboy) but only because it's a re-release from an anthology. :)

I did buy Muscling Through as I was doing the post cause it sounded really good and have a couple more on my wish list.

Happy Friday!

I've been trying to stay focus and resist shiny new books, but Muscling Through looks really good and so do a few others. Love the cover for Quick to the Hunt, too.

And he is still so hot ;) I hope I see a hottie like that on the beach next week, but my hopes are not too high. I don't seem to go to the beaches were the hotties hang out.

Just finished Quick to the Hunt (clever play on names, there) and Cameron Dane as usual writes hot-hot-hot sex. This was a brutal book, tho', given the PTSD Hunter has to deal with. The cover kind of confuses me.

I'm anxious to read Spin Out, but the price seems a little steep to me. Also have Merrow's book on my tbr list!

Thanks for the updates, Lily!

I've read Vanished and loved it, but then, I've been enjoying Brian and Jamie's journey from page one ;) The one that's got me pulling out my CC is For One Night Only. Sounds intense!

Btw, I've been hearing about the heatwave rolling over certain parts of the US and that isn't healthy!! It might be very moderate here in the Netherlands with lots of rain but I wouldn't mind splashing around with mancandy in the sea either *wink*

Ava, Muscling Through sounded so good I couldn't resist it.

Good luck spotting the hotties! ;)

Wren, I've got Quick to the Hunt on my wish list. Glad to hear you liked it.

I know what you mean about Spin Out's p;rice. MLR always seems a bit pricey to me.

Both of those sound good, Leontine.

Enjoy your moderate temps. Lucky girl! :)

I haven't read any of these. I need to get to it!

Val, you keep working on your next story. These books will keep 'til you're done. :)

Thanks so much for the mention, Lily - really appreciate it! Am hoping to work on a sequel soon, from Langley's viewpoint - once we've managed to finalise our second house-move of this year, that is!!
