Here's the third installment of my A-Z Reading Challenge. I'm reading the letter W now so I'm almost finished. I think next I'll do the challenge but with author names instead of titles. And if I have to skip a letter I'm fine with it since I will be able to do the complete alphabet this time around thanks to the book recs I received from Chris!
Neon Yellow: Obsessive Adhesives by Andy Slayde & Ali WildeGet it @ Torquere Books

Jason and Spencer are total opposites. Jason's a bit of a playboy while Spencer is a number's geek, and a virgin. After months of working together however Jason finally begins to "see" Spencer. Once his eyes are opened feelings begin to develop between them but with a stalker after Spencer will there be time to explore the possibilities those feelings bring? I really enjoyed this well-written story. Both Jason and Spencer are nice, likable guys and it was fun to see some of the characters from Sandalwood and a Potato and Mist Gray as well. The stories are connected by the characters but aren't really a series therefor it's not necessary to read them all although I recommend them. I enjoyed that Jason and Spencer didn't end up in bed right away instead their relationship develops slowly and I think, more naturally. The stalker plotline is the weakest point of the story but not enough to take away from my enjoyment of this sweet romance. Overall another entertaining story from Andy and Ali.
Outcast Mine by Jamie CraigGet it @ Carina Press

While sci-fi may not be my preferred genre this book really impressed me. The setting, characters and storyline were all very well done and I was engaged, and entertained, throughout. Aleron, a human thief sent to a prison planet and Jasak, the head Athaki prison guard are both interesting characters and I enjoyed the slow progression of their relationship, definitely no insta-love in this story. There's action and intrigue throughout and the dark tone and the world building all combined to make this a story I couldn't put down and didn't want to end. I'd love to read more about these characters as they explore their love, and freedom, away from the prison planet.

Jeff is out looking for a good time when he spots a couple of guys that interest him. He's all set to play with, and Top, the guys but soon discovers that the smaller man with the blue eyes is definitely the one in charge. Going with the flow earns him a night of hot, sweaty, raunchy sex and at the end everyone's very satisfied. There's a unexpected little twist at the end of this entertaining and super hot quick read which added a bit more depth to the story.
Quinn's Hart by Cassandra GoldGet it @ Amber Allure

I enjoyed this sweet 'opposites attract' story. Quinn is shy, a really tall and large guy whose not had a lot of luck in the romance department while Josh is fun-loving and gregarious. Set against the background of Disney this was an entertaining story. The slowly developing romance between these two nice, likable guys worked well and the only thing I didn't like was when it ended. I would have liked to have seen them back home as a couple.
I've only got three more books to read to finish my challenge but nine to review. Overall this challenge worked really well for me. For the most part the books I read were already on my TBR so it helped, even if only a tiny bit, to reduce my TBR pile and since I knew it was alphabetical it made it easy to know which books to read. Fun, easy and for the most part stress-free... success!
This video is the first one I posted on my blog. It was actually a couple of months after I started but it's a beautiful song and the ending is oh so romantic. I hope you enjoy it!
And what would a celebration be without yummy cookies?
Wow, this turned out to be a very long post. Sorry about that! Happy Monday and I hope you all have a super fantastic week.

Happy Blogaversary. Yay for 2 years.
Gorgeous cookies and I think I've read all of those except O. My challenge has stalled out at F, well and I already read L, M and T. LOL
Happy blog anniversary, Lily! Has it really been two years already? Wow. Thanks also for the photos, and for reminding me to pick up the Jamie Craig book. :)
Happy blogiversary!!! Glad I could help you hit all the letters for your challenge. :)
I love that song and picked it up on Amazon - in fact, your place might've been where I first heard/saw it!
I usually love Andy & Ali's books... maybe knowing about the weak stalker plot ahead of time will help me not be so annoyed by the stalker...
Happy Anniversary!
And thank you for the lovely review. There is an author extra for this story that has, among other things, an interview with Thad and a deleted scene.
Yes the stalker aspect isn't the focus, live and learn. One day we'll write a mystery and hopefully redeem ourselves ;-)
Ali & I like our town of Summerset and do visit it often, but the stories really are not a series per se. The WIP takes place there as well and the extra for that includes an image map of the city and will have links for all the characters. It's a rather involved task I've given myself. Live and learn ;-)
Thank you again for a lovely review.
Thanks, Kris! Glad you liked the cookies. :)
Thanks, Leontine! I'm glad to know you enjoy my blog posts. :)
Thanks, Tam! Glad you liked the cookies. Outcast Mine may not be for everyone but if you like sci-fi/futuristic stories I recommend it. :)
Thanks, Val! Glad you liked them pics. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on Outcast Mine.
Thanks, Chris! Isn't it a fabulous song? I love it!
Neon was really good. I think you'd enjoy it even with your stalker issues. lol :)
Thanks, Andy! And you're welcome! Looking forward to the next story. :)
I'll give you a little hint, the next story is Coal Black and involves a demon and an angel. Who knew Summerset had such inhabitants? ;-)
-Andy
